1. Information We Do Not Collect

TV Express is a Bring Your Own (BYO) media player utility. We do not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Personal identifiers such as name, email, or phone number
  • Viewing history or watch behavior
  • Server credentials, M3U URLs, or playlist content
  • IP addresses or geolocation data
  • Device identifiers beyond standard Apple diagnostics

2. Local Data on Your Device

The app stores certain data locally on your device to improve your experience. This includes:

  • Favorites and bookmarks you create
  • Continue-watching timestamps
  • Parental control PIN and settings
  • Optional temporary cache for smoother playback

None of this local data is transmitted to our servers. You can clear all local data at any time through the app settings.

3. Credentials and Source Data

When you enter a server URL, username, password, or M3U playlist URL, that information is used solely to connect to your chosen source.

By default, credentials are not persisted after the app closes. If you choose to save them locally, they remain encrypted in the iOS Keychain and are never sent to us.

4. Analytics and Crash Reporting

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising frameworks. Crash reports may be collected by Apple through standard iOS mechanisms if you have opted in to share diagnostics with developers. We do not receive any personally identifiable information through these reports.

5. Third-Party Content

TV Express does not host, distribute, or control any media content. You are responsible for the sources you connect to and their respective privacy practices. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party service you access through the app.

6. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Parental controls are available within the app to help guardians manage access.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
